Safari E - 'Born Free' - Elsa country - 8 days
This safari encompasses wildlife in the northern districts of Kenya. In it reside species not to be found elsewhere in the country, like Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx and blue-shanked Somali ostrich. The Samburu and Buffalo Spring game reserves lie in a semi-arid, open savannah plain broken occasionally by small rugged hills. Meru National Park is, outside of Kenya, perhaps best known as 'Elsa' country from the movie Born Free. Joy and George Adamson played a big role in founding this reserve. The park lies in a broad plain dissected by numerous streams, which join up with Tana River that forms the park's southern boundary. The abundance of watercourses forms habitat for over 300 species of birds. Click here for prices.
